Our Story
Insight Therapy Center, formerly known as Insight Speech and Language Center was developed in October of 2018 by Dr. Amanda Mathews.
Dr. Mathews recognized the need in our community for a place where families felt heard and valued. She desired to create a center focused on compassion, community and quality communication.
In October of 2018, Dr. Amanda began seeing clients in their home and in her home until the construction of the center was completed.
In July of 2019, the building was completed and Dr. Amanda began seeing her first clients at 2118 Sandy Lane. Sooner than anticipated, Insight began to grow and within a year, she added dyslexia therapy and occupational therapy.
Now, Insight boasts a team of 13 individuals across three disciplines who strive to love, care and serve a number of clients across South Mississippi. Dr. Mathews attributes much of the success to building a culture of compassion, community and communication.
