Suzanne Skinner

Suzanne is one of our speech-language pathologists. She earned her degree from The University of Southern Mississippi and has experience in early intervention, school, and clinical settings. She loves helping children find their voice and celebrating every tiny victory along the way. She’s all about building connections with families and creating a cheerful, encouraging space where kids can shine. She is powered by strong coffee, obsessed with all things fall and pumpkin-scented, happily ruled by her yorkies (Lulu and Rolo), and will absolutely end her day with a cozy Christmas Hallmark movie- even in July!

We love it here! My boy has a speech delay and works with Mrs. Ivey. He absolutely loves her and runs to her every time. She’s so wonderful with him and his speech is improving. After each session we go over how he did and what they worked on. I also have a file of handouts Mrs. Ivey gives us so we can continue working with him at home.

Reagan did an AAC device consultation/evaluation for my son. She was very warm and friendly. She pointed out all of the positive things my son was doing with his words and his voice that is helpful for language development and hopefully will help move towards him becoming a speaking child one day. You can tell she really cares about her patients and advocates for their needs. As a parent of a special needs child, we are so often bombarded with all of the things they cannot do and how they do not measure up to their peers. This was the first time in a long time that I left a meeting about my child feeling excited about the future so thank you, Reagan, for being an angel on Earth for our little ASD warriors. Your kindness means more than you know!
